The city emblem was adopted on Jan 29th 2007 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized M of Miyama in a form of a blossom.
It represents an image of the dreamful city where the people, water and green trees are shining.
