The flag was adopted on Aug 1st 2002 by the prefecture in Notice No 533.
The flag proportions are 2:3.
The purple flag is charged with a white city emblem in the center
which is a stylized kanji TAKA 高 surrounded by four pine
needles in the lozenge. The pine is MATSU 松 in Japanese.
The residents pray for eternal prosperity in the green of the pine
which does not change a color.
