The city emblem was adopted on Dec 27th 1954 by Notice No 16 but there is no
flag law. The green flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem
is a stylized katakana オオ O of Otake. The circle symbolizes a peaceful city
administration and the inner space does a bamboo = Take.
