The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 2004 but there is no flag law. The
maroon flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized
M of Miyoshi. The maroon color stands for a tenderness, a warmth and a joy which
symbolize a concord of the city. It represents a determination of the citizen as
a lead character who holds hands with other people and builds a city which
is over dreams and a vigor.
