The town emblem was adopted on May 1st 1964 but there is no flag law. The
maroon flag has a yellow town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a
stylized hiragana や Ya of Yakage. It represents an image of the town which makes
a leap forward to the future’s development under a strong solidarity.
