The city emblem was adopted on Mar 21st 2006 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a green city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized
katakana アサ Asa of Asakuchi. The green color stands for mountains such as
Mt. Chikurinji and Mt. Yosho, a countryside and Seto Inland Sea.
