The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Jan 11th 2005 by Notice No 10
and 11. The white flag has a green, a blue two color city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized A of minamiAwaji. It represents an image of the
city’s human contact and a co-existence seeking for a food development, a
human development, a town development and an image of the city which uses
an abundant blessings from nature to make a geat leap forward with hopes. The
flag proportion is 2:3.
