The town emblem was adopted on Jul 5th 2005 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a green, a blue, a light blue three color town emblem in the
center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana カミ Kami. The lower three curved
lines symbolize an image of the citizen who makes a leap forward vividly and
lives together to make a human contact. It represents an image of the town where
Yatagawa River runs north and south thru the town and green mountains and
discharges out into Japan Sea.
