The city emblem was adopted on Jun 15th 1976 but there is no flag law. The
blue flag has a white city emblem in the center and the city and the prefecture
kanji name in white at the bottom part. The city emblem is an image of Meishin
Expressway Interchange which symbolizes a continuously developing modern city.
