The town emblem was adopted on Feb 6th 1957 but there is no flag law. The
maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized
kanji 東栄 Toei in a form of a longlived turtle. The six triangles and the outer
circle symbolizes a reconciliation of the former six towns and villages
and a chevron in the circle does the town of mountains.
