The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1937 and the flag was adopted on Sep
30th 1976 by Ordinance No 40. The white flag has a blue city emblem in the
center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 半田 Handa. The inner circle
symbolizes a concord and the eight edges extended outside does a progress of the
city. The flag proportion is 2:3.
