The flag of the city of Shimoda is green with mark.

The city emblem was adopted on Dec 22nd 1958 by Resolution No 128 but there
is no flag law. The green flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is four stylized kanji 下 Shimo in a form of kanji 田 Da. The white
anchor stands for a harbor Shimoda. The pikestaff of the anchor and four dots
make kanji 米 = rice and 田 = rice feelds which represents Shimmoda’s agriculture.
