The village emblem was adopted in Jan 1978 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a green village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a
stylized katakana タ Ta of Takayama in a form of a peaceful pigeon. The outer
circle symbolizes a geographical character of a fan delta surrounding the
village on three sides. It represents an image of the village and the villagers
who make a leap forward.
