The village emblem was adopted Apr 1st 1980 but there is no flag law. The
green flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a
stylized kanji 平 Hira of Hiraya. The letter stands for a peace. The lower part
symbolizes an image of the village flying strongly based upon the mountain
forest.
