The town emblem was adopted on Sep 30th 1956 but there is no flag law. The
blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a
combination of stylized kanji 早 Haya and 川 Kawa in a form of six mountains which
symbolizes six villages merged. The circle made with kanji 川 represents peace
and happiness.
