The city emblem was adopted on Feb 1st 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a green and a blue two color city emblem in the
center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana ワジマ Wajima. It represents the
city in harmony with nature. The gentle curved lines symbolize a comfortable
life, a vigorous future, a contact link, a beautiful nature , a fertile ground,
a sea of fertility and Wajima lacquerware.
