The city emblem was adopted on Jul 9th 1934 by Notice No 17 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a vermillion city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is the former Shibata Domain lord Mizoguchi family crest five stories
water caltrop.

The flag of the former village of Kajikawa was yellow-green with mark. The
village is now, from 2005, part of the city of Shibata.
