The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1962 by Notice No 1 and a flag law was established on April 1, 2019 with Notification No. 49. The blue flag has a yellow city emblem in the center. The city emblem
is three stylized katakana ケ Ke of MitsuKe. The circle symbolizes a peace and
the umbonal part does an unlimited surge of the city. It represents a tradition
and a history.
