The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 2008 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a green and an orange two color city emblem in the
center. The city emblem is a stylized hiragana む Mu of Murakami. The green color
stands for a beautiful natural environment , the orange color for an energy of a
healthy community, an industry and a culture.
