The town emblem was adopted on Apr 5th 1973 by Notice No 27 but there is no
flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem
is a stylized hiragana は Ha of Hatoyama in a form of a flying pigeon. It
represents a strong surge and a development to the town future and an eternal
peace, a reconciliation and a cooperation of the town.
