The city emblem was adopted on May 1st 1966 by Notice No 48 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a red city emblem in the center. The city emblem
depicts Mt. Fuji in the center and three rivers Arakawa, Shingashikawa,
Yanasegawa by three curved lines outside. The circle symbolizes a merger of the
former three villages.
