The town emblem was adopted on Jul 1st 1970 by Notice No 40 but there is no
flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem
is a stylized kanji 長 Naga of Naganohara in a form of a flying bird. The circle
symbolizes a conformity of the town people and the wings do the town which makes
a leap forward.
