The town emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1965 but there is no flag law.
The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center.
The town emblem is stylized katakana ミシマ Mishima.
The combined three letters symbolize a solidarity of the town people,
the circle does a conformity and the sharp angle does a soar.
