The flag of the city of Tsuruoka is white with mark.

The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but
there is no flag law.
The white flag has a blue city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized kanji 鶴 Tsuru (crane) of Tsuruoka.
The upper part symbolizes a crane and the lower part chevron
does Three Mountains of Dewa.
It represents an exponential development.

The flag of the former town of Fujishima was green with mark. The town is now,
from 2005, part of the city of Tsuruoka.
