The flag's adoption came into force on 1 April 2004. The field colour is
given according to JIS Z8721: hue 4.5BG, brightness 3.3, saturation 5.9.
The emblem is described as an abstraction, but I have admit that I don't
see the hawk at all.

The green flag has a white town emblem with a black fimbriation in the center
as per the flag law.
