The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2006 by Notice No 10
but there is no flag law.
The white flag has a green, a blue and a red three color town emblem in the center.
The town emblem depicts Mt. Nakui in green color and a fresh stream of River Mabechi
in blue color.
Two red circles represent rich harvests of the produce and the future vision
of the developing town by a harmony in the people with the nature.

The flag of the former village of Fukuchi was purple with mark. The village
is now, from 2006, part of the town of Nanbu.

The design features the kanji character for “fortune” 福 fuku at its center, with the initial letter “H” stylized to resemble a bird in flight, symbolizing the village's growth. The village name is written in white kanji at the bottom.

The flag of the former town of Nagawa was maroon with mark. The town is now,
from 2006, part of the town of Nanbu.

The design features the katakana character for “name”ナna and the kanji character for “river” 川gawa stylized to resemble the shape of an apple blossom, a local specialty.
The town's name is written in white kanji at the bottom.
