The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) is the financially and
administratively autonomous institution responsible for the management,
regulation, and the development of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ).
Aqaba is located on the edge of the gulf of the same name on the Red Sea,
facing the Israeli city of Eilat which is historically linked to it. ASEZ was
created in 2001.
