Vigo (in Ladin: Vich, in the maps: Vigo di Fassa) is a town
situated in the heart of Val di Fassa in Trento Province. Four flags in front of city
hall (Vigo, EU, Italy and Val di Fasse(?))
and two more just across
the street (Vigo and Ladins with vertical stripes). Closer
look at the flag (blue-red and
charged with Coat of Arms) and the Coat of Arms can be seen at
the appropriate photos.

Vigo di Fassa is a bilingual Italian-Ladin municipality. In
fact, its official name is "Comune di Vigo - Comun da
Vich".

The civic flag of Vigo, even in use, is unofficial. Unofficial
use of local flags is quite common in Italy. The municipality has
no official flag, but an official "gonfalone" which is
flag-shaped (ratio 3:4), following the local use. It was
officially adopted by the deliberation no. 3242 of the provincial
council of Trento of 30 March 1990, and is bearing the colour
of the Val di Fassa (Fassa
Valley) and the civic Coat of Arms. Red and blue are the armorial
colours of Vigo, unofficially (as far I know) used as red and
blue flags.
