"GONFALONE. Troncato di drappo nero e bianco e caricato
in cuore di uno scudetto formato dallo stemma sopradescritto,
senza ornamenti esteriori (Regie lettere patenti in data 15
aprile 1886). Il leone campante, con una rapa nella zampa destra,
caratterizza lo stemma di Rapolano. Simbolo generico il primo,
espressivo di coraggio e sentimenti di libertà; specifico il
secondo, ricavato direttamente dal nome del paese."
