"GONFALONE - Drappo di colore amaranto, riccamente
ornato di ricami d'argento e caricato dello stemma comunale con
la iscrizione centrata in argento: «Comune di Bagni di
Casciana» [oggi di «Casciana Terme»] (Regio decreto in data 22
febbraio 1934).
L'importanza delle acque, per Casciana Terme, è testimoniata
nella simbologia dello stemma: un merlo vola su uno stagno, in un
panorama agreste. Le salutari proprietà delle acque furono
riconosciute da Giovanni Targioni Tozzetti durante un suo viaggio
nella Val d'Era nell'autunno del 1754."
