la iscrizione centrata in argento: "Comune di Barberino Val
d'Elsa" (Regio decreto in data 18 luglio 1930).
Una tigre rampante, simbolo assai raro negli stemmi, è l'emblema
di Barberino Val d'Elsa. Luigi Passerini definisce questo stemma
"allusivo" al nome del paese. La tigre rappresentata
sarebbe infatti proveniente dalla Barberia; è esplicito,
quindí, il rapporto di assonanza col nome di Barberino."
