Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussain was ousted from power in late 2003. Following parliamentary elections in January 2005 the "Iraqi Transitional Government" took power with Jalal Talabani serving as president. His Interior Minister was Baqir Jabr al-Zubeidi, who in August 2005 ordered the arrest of Shiite-Muslim cleric Mahmud al-Hassani, who opposed the U.S.-backed administration of Talabani. This flag was seen at a 7 August 2005 demonstration in Baghdad protesting al-Hassani's arrest. This flag resembles the tricolor and tri-stripped red/white/black flag of Iraq, but replacing the usual 3 stars with 3 (for the lack of any clearer identification) "al-Hassani" logos. The logos apparently were printed on clear cellophane-like ("sublimation transfer paper") sheets and then probably through a heat-transfer process "glued" or otherwise "attached" onto the middle white stripe. Maybe not the typically seen silk-screened printing, but nonetheless a serviceable flag. Info regarding al-Hasani is at: https://jamestown.org/program/mahmud-al-hasani-a-profile-of-iraqs-rising-shiite-leader/
Iraq tri-stripe flag, but instead of having the usual 3 stars it has 3 clear "Saran Wrap"-like cellophane-sheet logos glued/attached/iron-heat-press transfer to the flag.
