Baghdad Pact, created in 1955 and renamed CENTO (Central Treaty Organization)
after the withdrawal of Iraq in 1959. It was dissolved in 1979.

The flag is described by Barraclough and
Crampton (1981) as "... intermediate blue, in proportions of forty-three by
ninety-three, with the badge in the centre. This shows a green torch with red
and yellow flames, flanked by white wings, within a green wreath."
