the professional organization representing practitioners of obstetrics and
gynecology in India. Its flag and explanation of the design are here:

"The significance of the colors
and design of the flag are meaningful.
The Blue background stands for
vastness, infinity, depth and noble character which FOGSI is as an organization.
The Saffron Band stands for courage, sacrifice and the spirit of renunciation
which is abundant in our members.
The White Band stands for purity and truth,
the character of our profession.
The Green Band known as the color of life
itself, is associated with fertility for the mothers we treat.
These colors
used together blend well and are very harmonious, signifying the functioning of
FOGSI.
The Curve indicates encompassing, protecting as well as togetherness
of FOGSI members as it starts together at one point and expands towards FOGSI’s
goals."
