This new municipality was established in 2003 by uniting
Municipality of Yehud and the Local
Council of Newe Ephraim (Monosson).
The new Municipality of Yehud-Monoson kept Yehud symbols with new
inscription, while the new Local Administration of Newe Monoson
kept the former emblem and flag too.
Note that the name Newe Ephraim was enforced in the oast by the
Ministry of the Interior as the locals prefer Newe Monoson. The
compromise was to officialy name it Newe Ephraim (Monoson).
It seems that there were few stages until the current name was
accepted. In one image at <images.one.co.il>
the inscription is Newe Yehud Monosson....
Together with the symbols a Tehud green flag was also adopted
(with new inscription as seen at <www.amutakesher.org.il>
(the right flag).
The joined municipality got 25,000 inh. only one tenth of them in
Newe Monosson. Homepage at <www.yehud-monosson.muni.il>.

The inscription on the bottom of the emblem is "Judah,
thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in
the neck of thine enemies" (Genesis 49,8)
