uses as flag a white logo on blue bedsheet.

Apart from the reported white logo on blue, the vertical logo
is used on many other different colour backgrounds. Qiryat Yam is
situated on the Haifa Bay coast (yam meaning sea), just
north of Qiryat Haim and west of Qiryat Motzkin. Est. 1940 (as Gav-Yam).
Local Council since 1955. Municipality since 1976, pop. 46'000, website

The above flag is unofficial but commonly used. The emblem is
a (heavily touched up) image from the city
website [partially retrieved]. Qiryat Yam is one of the HaQrayot
in Haifa Bay area.

The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot),
YP 997, 28 February 1963 (at the time as Local Council).

Municipality of Qiryat Yam still uses the white on blue as the
most prequently used flag, but six (!!!) more variants are also
in use.
