Mashhed is a Local Council since 1960 with 6500 inh. (2003),
all Moslems, situated 5 km north to Nazareth
next to Kafar Kanna. The meaning of
the name in Arabic is a Grave of an holy man. It is traditionally
to identify the said grave, situated near the main mosque as the

Been there twice but no flag. At least the local football team
has a flag of blue with yellow inscription in Arabic: Iti'had
Ibnu El'Mashhed (Mashhed Juniors Union). See www.panet.co.il [not retrievable].
