Teskánd is a village near (5 km west) Zalaegerszeg
city. The first mention of the villages is from 1271 as
"TUSKAND". 2001 Population Census: 957 inh.
Ethnic affiliation: Hungarian: 99,0%, German: 0,3% unknown, did
not wish to answer: 1,0% Religion: Roman Catholic: 82,2%;
Calvinist: 4,6%; Lutheran: 1,2% ; does not belong to any
church/denomination: 5,6%; unknown, did not wish to answer: 6,5%.
