Tófej is a village near to Zalaegerszeg
city (22 km Southwest). The first mention of the village is from
1307 as 'THOFEU'. Tófej is the center of Tófej district
notarity.
2001 Population Census: 724 inh. Ethnic affiliation: Hungarian:
96,8%, unknown, did not wish to answer: 3,2% Religion: Roman
Catholic: 89,0%; Calvinist: 1,5%; Lutheran: 1,5% ; does not
belong to any church/denomination: 0,4%; unknown, did not wish to
answer: 7,4%
