I believe that the info comes from "Zaszlovilag"
vex-magazine. The flag was adopted in 1991, with official ratio
1:2 (but it seems that the flags in practice are made somewhat
shorter). The county was made by joining the former counties of
Hajdú (arms granted around 1408) and Bihar (arms granted 1690)
and city of Debrecen. Arms of Hajdu and Bihar were alloyed in
1991, and colours of Debrecen were used in the flag. The image of
the Coat of Arms stems from Hajdu Bihar pages at <www.hbmo.hu/index1.htm>
.A 64Kb bigger image of the Coat of Arms is availible at <www.hbmo.hu/images/megye.jpg>.
