Rábaszentmihály is a village in the formerly Győr county.
Coat of Arms and description below from the Győr-Moson-Sopron
County Atlas; HISZI-Map, 1998:
"The village was first mentioned in documents in 1204 as
"Rába Land' then it was mentioned as 'terra Raba alias Zent
Mihal" in 1234. The population ran away from taxes and
attacks by Turkish troops. The village was owned by the Nádasdy
family from the seventeenth century and later it was owned by the
Eszterházy family. It sufferred a lot during the world wars. The
village has a population of 547 persons."
