Vodomar d.o.o. was established in 2001 in Rijeka. vodomar is the Croatian name of the kingfisher bird, tough I would say that the name was established as the combination of the prefix vodo, having to do with water, and the suffix mar as in "maritime". At least, certainly there is intentional assocation of these words.

The house flag of Vodomar, as shown on the company website (no longer reachable), is blue with a yellow lozenge containing a blue letter "V".
