Fiumana (ships' photos) was active in 1923-1945. Riccardo Gigante was appointed General Manager of the company in 1937. Journalist and Senator, Gigante was one time Chief Magistrate of Fiume (now Rijeka) and briefly wartime Governor of the Carnaro Province.
The company's routes in the Adriatic visited, for instance, Zara (now Zadar), Ancona, Ravenna, Trieste, Pola (now Pula) and Abbazia (now Opatija).

The house flag of Fiumana, as shown in the Spanish naval book Distintivos Navieros de las Principales Sociedades de Navegación (1940) and on the cover of a company's booklet, is a variation of the traditional tricolour of Fiume, red over yellow over blue, the yellow stripe here being of double width.
Other sources shows the flag with equal stripes (image).
