Flags featuring a cross shape and the motto "krepat ma ne molat" are popular
among the fans. "Krepat, ma ne molat" is a motto in the local Croatian Chakavian
dialect, meaning "to die, but not to give up."

I prepared a flag from the 70s and 80s; it is actually no different from the current one, except for the text – it reads "NK," whereas today it says "HNK." There is also another flag from that period that deviates from the standard design, making it look unusual for the club.
