Last year [i.e., 2023], the municipality encouraged the initiative to
regulate the coat of arms and flag heraldically, and proposed the appearance of
the flag and coat of arms themselves, and put them on public display and asked
for feedback on whether anything should be added or not.

I hereby confirm that the proposal for a new flag from 2023 has in the
meantime been accepted and that flag is now used as the municipal flag.

The symbols of Sveti Đurđ are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Sveti Đurđ, adopted on 5 October 2001 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the County official gazette Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 20. This is repeated in the current Statutes Statut Općine Sveti Đurđ, adopted on 9 September 2009 and published on 16 September 2009 in Službeni vjesnik Varaždinske županije, No. 32.
The symbols were originally prescribed in the first Municipality Statutes, adopted in 1994 (Varaždinske vijesti, 6 April 1994).
The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms in the middle.

The coat of arms of Sveti Đurđ is "Azure a St. George on a horse slaying the dragon".
