As the name suggests, there are two stud farm in two areas, in Đakovo and
Lipik, but under joint management.
The year of the establishment of the stud
farm in Đakovo is considered to be 1506, although records of horse breeding date
back to 1374. The stud farm is known for the breeding of Lipizzaner horses,
which have been bred there since the Napoleonic Wars.
The Lipik Stud Farm is
younger, dating back to 1843, and is also known for breeding Lipizzaner horses.
The flag is red with the logo and name.
