an emblem depicting Lady Justice robed in the national colours of Guyana, with
the inscription border flanked by the gavel, and law books.
Red: zeal and
determination of the judiciary to uphold justice.
Cream: fairness,
transparency, impartiality, and access to justice.
Black: the solemnity and
authority of the court as an independent arm of the Government.
The three
colours also represent the three levels of the judiciary: the Appellate Court,
the High Court, and the Magistrates’ Courts.
