Patzité is a small municipality in Quiché. A flag does not
exist, as told by the mayor and members of the local council;
Nevertheless, possibly it was destroyed by a fire which
devastated the town offices in 1982.
The name Patzité means “between trees (or wood)” and
the badge bears the following symbols:
In the center appears an irregular green field, not really
corresponding with the boundaries of the territory, overlapped by
the letter “P” for the name, and a hand holding a piece
of wood. On both sides are represented local products: on the
left hand a cob, a bean and an apple, on the right hand an ear of
wheat, a potato and a fig, above the name Patzité and below the
department’s name El Quiché. The brown element on the
bottom was not identifiable.
