Ancora Investement Trust, based in Glyfada, was founded in 1986,
incorporated in Liberia and registered in Greece under Law 89/1967.
From November 1986 to 1996, the company operated 12 bulk carriers
belonging to separate shipowners.
In 1996, the company moved into the tanker market and the
transportation of petroleum products (gasoline, fuel oil, diesel oil
and naphta). The company owns today 15 tankers.

The flag of Ancora Investment Trust can be seen hoisted in front of
the company headquarters, together with the Greek national flag. The
flag is white with the emblem of the company in the middle.
The emblem of the Ancora Investment Trust is a blue disk with the
white initials of the company "AIT", the "I" being bigger and with an
anchor-shaped point (alluding to the name of the company?).
