Flag of the Royal Gibraltar Police - Image by Herman Felani, 7 February 2009, badge taken from the cover of Royal Gibraltar Police Annual Report 2005-2006
The flag of the Royal Gibraltar Police is plain blue with the badge of the service charged at the centre. The badge of the service has the title of the service, "Royal Gibraltar Police", encircling the arms of Gibraltar all on a silver starburst and surmounted by the St. Edward's crown.
Silver(?) cords and tassels are attached to a flag used for parade purposes (photo, page 14 of the Annual Report for 2005-2006).
The police service was conferred the "Royal" prefix on 12 June 1992. I believe the badge is the second in the history of the Gibraltar police; the date of adoption I'm unsure of at the moment.
